Our Love story....
Let me tell ya 'bout my Best friend....
I never thought I would get married again....but God knew what he was doing when he put this man in my life. I had done some "online dating" and didn't have much success. When you have children, dating is hard. Not to mention that dating these days, compared to what it was when I was in my teens is COMPLETELY different. Its terrifying. Even though I was already in my 30's my parents insisted that I share my location on my iPhone, send a picture and name of
'the date' that I was going out with. It didn't take much time spent with each guy for me to quickly realize whether or not they were worth my time. Let me tell you.....some ppl are NOT who they appear to be online. I set up a Match.com account in the middle of August....telling myself that if actually paying for a dating site didn't weed out some of the doozies, that, it obviously wasn't going to work for me. I had accepted that I was fine being a single mom, I more than anything just wanted a companion. I was lonely. Especially on the weekends that Tatum and Jaxon were at their Dad's house.
On August 28th, as I was packing to go out of town for my friend Aimee's little Boy's Birthday party, I responded to the message from Austin on the Match.com app. I don't remember what exactly he said but, I do remember it being funny and catching my attention. We chatted back and forth the whole weekend and after that weekend of us talking, I already had all my eggs in one basket, and, deactivated my account. Our first date was September 13th. We saw a realllyyyyy horrible movie, that I picked. He met Tatum and Jaxon the following week, and seeing how good they all got along did it for me. 2 weeks later he said "I'm going to marry you." and I responded with "I know it."
He proposed October 27th (the day before my 33rd Birthday) and we were married on December 10th 2016!! I am married to my Best Friend. I am one of the "lucky ones" that was fortunate enough to fin my soul mate in this lifetime. There is nobody else I could imagine doing life with and I thank God for this man everyday.
...to my Austin...ALWAYS MOST.
