"DANDELION FLUFF" Preemie clothes by Alexia Jean

I am very excited about this new line. Dandelion Fluff preemie outfits by Alexia Jean are soooo cute!!! My daughter Tatum was not premature (only 10 days early actually) but she only weighed 5 lbs. 13 oz. This was a complete shock to Ben and Me considering they estimated that she would weigh atleast 9 lbs!!!! My mom actually had go out and find her a "preemie" outfit to bring her home in because the dress we had intended for her to wear (which was actually the same dress I came home from the hospital in) was HUGE next to her....I'm pretty sure you could have wrapped it around her 3 or 4 times.....and she wasn't able to wear it until her 3 month pictures at Ggallery!!!! Anyway....she wore preemie clothes for 2 months....I searched and searched for cute preemie clothes for she but was never successful in finding any that I was truly happy with. My child lived in Wal-mart onesies. I was determined to design/start a cute line in bright and fun patterns for preemies.....but, I DON'T and CAN'T sew. I am soooo glad I found Alexia. She perfected my vision on these adorable preemie outfits. I am tempted to take one home and save it for my next baby.....but you never next baby could very well weigh 9 lbs!!!!
Thanks Alexia....
You are a Godsend!!!!
{soon to come.....CUSTOM bedding by AlexiaJean.....I am very excited about this!!!}

EMMA's Dresser

This dresser was painted for Miss Emma Barber....for those of you that haven't heard me talk about the Barber's....I LOVE THEM!!! Every member of that family are ANGELS and I am soooooo sad that they are moving to Conroe next week (what are the odds of them moving to the town that I'm from?!? CRAZY!) anyway....
I painted all of Emma's older sister Taylor's Bedroom furniture about a month ago...and I also painted a "Superman" desk for Their brother Colton.
Come back and visit me...
Love ya'll!

Help us Find a CURE!!!!

Hi Everyone!!
I am a blogaholic and yet very very behind on my posting. lol There aren't enough hours in the day. Anywho....Where to begin (sigh)
A couple of week ago I was a teensy bit frazzled and had alot on my mind. I was worried about Bailey and her upcoming surgery to have her feeding tube put in....I was stressing about Tatum's 3rd Birthday Party planning. I was trying to come up w/ ideas for what I was going to do to celebrate the store being opened for a year.... hit me. A GREAT idea.
...once again....where do I start....
Okay. These two beauties are my cousins. I inherited alot of awesome family members when I married Ben :) Stormy is 13 and Bailey is 11. Both girls were diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when they were young....
Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that:
clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and
obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.
In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.

So.....The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Hosts an annual CF walk in Tyler every year. This year the walk falls exactly 1 week before my stores Anniversary of being opened for 1 year.

I talked to all of my AMAZING vendors (amazing girls and friends) That make some of the Items that I sell in the store and asked them all to donate something for a Basket that I want to put together. The Baskets value is over $900 and still growing!!!! We are all going to sell Raffle tickets ($10 each) for this basket. This Basket includes everything from jewelry, Hair bows, Gift certificates, Dresses, SPARKLES bling Converse, a Canvas painting, a hand painted rocking chair, and LOTS more....

Now I know, That's alot of random stuff, in alot of different sizes for both boys, girls, babies, and Mommy (sorry men lol) and not everything in the basket could necessarily be used personally by the drawing winner. BUT, Christmas is coming up and IMAGINE how much of your Christmas shopping (ugh) you could consider done if you won the drawing?! (I'm rambling now) That's not the best part....

On Oct. 3rd (1 week after the walk) we will draw the Basket winners name. The winner gets all the goodies and ALL of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the CF Foundation. FIGHT CF!!! The walk is September 26, 2009 @ Bergfeld Park in Tyler. Registration is at 8:00 a.m.

We love you Stormy and Bailey!! xoxoxo -Jess
